El Burrito Mexicano in Chicago

A friend recommend this place to me. So tasty Mexican fast food that's super easy on the wallet!!!

After reading the reviews I was really looking forward to trying some Mexican food by me. I ordered 3 types of tacos: chicken, picadillo (ground beef), and carne asada. While there was plenty of meat in each taco, all lacked flavor! They were virtually tasteless. I added their hot sauce to them which didn’t help much. I’ll continue my search for decent Mexican food.

This place is soooooo good. I always have to get the cheese quesadillas. They are cheap but irresistible. The street tacos are also cheap and just as good. Just make sure you bring cash or you will have to use the atm there.

Cash-only dive with good Mexican food. My go-to place for years whenever I visit Wrigley. Solid food, friendly staff - will definitely satisfy any late-night cravings that arise after a long night in Wrigleyville!

I have lived in the neighorbood since 2006 and have ordered the same item since then. Tonight they have a new crew and told me that I ordered tacos instead of a burrito. When I asked for my actual order they brought out a manager who was a huge douche and tried to charge me more than the same order I have had for all these years. They then undercooked the burrito and acted like it was my fault. I am happy to go anywhere else from now on - I was happy to pay for quality but this place is no longer quality.

Order at the counter to a young Latin American hottie in a white paper cap. Portions are big and orders are fast. Cash only. My Latina friend said this isn't legit Mexican food, but what does she know.

I was really looking forward to this as I've walked by a million times. Nothing stands up to that level of expectation. So it was a good but not special burrito.

This place will mark up your purchase $2 and not put cheese on your meal. Avoid! Dishonest staff... They will even argue with you and make you demonstrate a mathematical proof to pay the correct prices at register. Do not agree to their lessons in sales tax when they pull out their chalkboard

Food was decent, big portions, but the establishment left a lot to be desired space-wise. Felt cramped, and the restroom was smaller than my closet, but there's only so much that can be done there, hence the 4 stars.

This is a good place to eat. I work at Wrigley and its my go to stop for my lunch break. I been to plenty of resteraunts for tacos. And i noticed when i come to this one. When i sit and eat i don't get the chips and salsa like everyone else i feel some type of way and shouldn't have ask for something i should of gotten like everyone else. I think today will be my last time coming in hear. Or do i have to spend enough sitting in? No cause the guy behind me got only two tacos and he got the chips and Salas. But you others guys will get good service its just me.

Went their last night with friends. This has got to be the best Mexican place on the North side. The steak burrito suizo is what I had and highly recommend to anyone that loves burritos.

I have visited Chicago three times in my life yet I have been to this restaurant at least five times. The chorizo con huevo burrito has a special place in my heart and my farts. I have eaten here for brunch, breakfast, dinner, second dinner, sober, not sober, shivering in the winter, and melting in the summer and the food is delicious each time.The restaurant is cash only but there is a wonderfully slow ATM.enjoy!

Best tacos and pick de gallo

Good authentic Mexican food, hot taco with beans and rice. Open late and close to the el and Wrigley.

Grabbed late night eats here and was really surprised how good it was. Portions were large. Great find!

My buddies and I went after the Cubs game to get some late night food before heading out and we all agreed that the food was unusually bland. If the food was just seasoned it would’ve been amazing.

Love that place, the only problem with the a young guy playing video game on the phone not friendly. He looked like he didn't wanna be there...those employers need to train better the people they hire.. I'll will return and recommend it. :)
